Job Description

Job Title Product Manager Qualification Engineering, CPM, CPSM, Business Management or Commercial qualification with relevant experience. Experience Min 10 years in procurement, purchase management or vendor development of which min of 5 years’ experience in import of Auto parts and accessories especially in the Aftermarket sector. Candidates with Sales & Buying experience will have advantage. Exposure to African market requirements preferred. Skills Commercial negotiation, Inventory Management, Ability to understand product specs & quality evaluation, Catalogue reading, research to identify right part for the vehicle, Ability to relate to people, Networking, and good communication. Sales & closing skills will bring additional value. Location UAE. Job involves international travel to both markets in Africa and GCC as well as sourcing destinations. Compensation and rewards Market related salary, HRA, Car or transport allowance, Medical insurance, Annual passage, Annual bonus based on KPI achievements.

Job Requirements

Key Job responsibilities • Liaise sales and product management teams to determine product, service requirements • Determine quality, pricing requirements of the markets involved and develop appropriate sourcing strategy. • Ability to develop purchase forecasts. • Identify, evaluate and select factories/ agents to match requirements. • Negotiate and conclude orders, delivery times, MOQ, warranty terms etc with suppliers in co-ordination with customers. • Quality verification and warranty analysis. • Identify and cross match common parts across markets for inventory optimisation and leveraging economy of scale. • Research new products, services and emerging trends. • Build and maintain healthy supplier relationships. • Be responsible for ensuring sales & profit objectives are met for the assigned products. • Address pricing & marketing plans in coordination with sales team. • Team player and work with diverse team of people across regions. • Be accountable for KPI’s and Governance policies.
