Job Title Purchase officer Qualification Graduate / Diploma preferred, not essential if supported by relevant work experience & skills. Experience Min 10 years in purchasing and / or inventory management of which min of 5 years’ experience in Auto parts and accessories in the aftermarket business especially on European truck & car segment Skills Commercial negotiation, Inventory Management, Catalogue reading, research to identify right part for the vehicle, Inventory analysis, Ability to relate to people, Networking, and good communication. Good excel/spread sheet processing skills essential. Location UAE. Job may involve international travel. Compensation and rewards Market related salary, HRA, Medical insurance, Annual Passage.

Job Requirements

Key Job responsibilities • Study sales history and develop timely order forecasts. • Liaise with sales team regularly to identify demand fluctuation and new item requirements. • Study vehicle park, market pricing, competition and sales team requirements to initiate new part introductions. • Negotiate and conclude orders, Inco terms, delivery times, MOQ, warranty terms etc with suppliers. • Stock analysis to identify slow moving items, profit potential, and optimize inventory. • Quality, packaging and shipment verifications. • Identify and cross match common parts across markets for inventory optimisation and leveraging economy of scale. • Research new products, services and emerging trends. • Build and maintain healthy supplier relationships. • Liaise for logistics arrangements • Be accountable for KPI’s and Governance policies.
